Code Search

Find reconstructed methods by meaning using natural language queries.

Overview

heycici. indexes every reconstructed method so you can search by what it does, not just what it's named. Type a natural language query and the platform returns the most relevant matches.

Using the dashboard

From the function browser, type a natural language query in the search bar:

  • "find the matchmaking logic"
  • "IAP purchase handler"
  • "player progress save"
  • "ad interstitial display"

Results show the top 20 most relevant methods.

Using the API

GET /api/functions/search/semantic?q=matchmaking+logic&binary_id={id}&limit=20

Response:

[
  {
    "address": "0x1AD291C",
    "name": "MatchmakingManager$$FindMatch",
    "similarity": 0.87,
    "source_snippet": "..."
  }
]

Tips for good queries

  • Use game-domain terms: "inventory system", "gacha pull", "leaderboard update"
  • Describe what the method does, not how it works internally
  • Short queries (3–6 words) tend to return more precise results

Coverage

Code search covers game-core methods — the game's own logic, approximately 43K methods per binary. Unity engine and third-party SDK methods are already classified with official documentation links, so they appear in the classification layer rather than search results.
